NBC New York took a deep dive into Danielle and Jodie’s purses. Here’s that they found:

Danielle’s purse:

1. I love these John Lennon frames and that they’re polarized.

2. I always have matches from the last restaurant I ate at and loved. I end up going to Fedora way too much. It’s such a cozy weeknight hangout!

3. Burt’s Bees lip balm.

4. Nars’ ‘Dragon Girl’ is the best lipstick hands down — the boys love this color. I stole it from my Mom! She’s so darn chic.

5. “TopShop ‘Beguiled’ and a Giorgio Armani berry stain. You can never have enough rouge in your purse.

6. I do the social media for DANNIJO, so I’m always on my iPhone posting on Instagram, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare.

7. Arm party options

8. Chanel eyeliner

9. Shu Uemura’s eyelash curler is the ultimate femme fatale weapon.
10. Business cards

11. I hate heavy wallets so this mini stingray wallet is perfect for me. I keep my mom’s high school photo in it for good luck.

12. Jacinda ring.

Jodie’s purse:

1. I love my Dannijo iPhone case.

2. I always find change at the bottom of the purse.

3. This set of keys opens the doors to my life: my home and office.

4. Armani mascara and eyelash curler.

5. I always carry a few lipsticks with me. Curling my eyelashes and a touch of color on my lips helps me feel alive at the end of the day. This is my favorite Chanel red lipstick.

6.  I always have a camera on me. I love taking pictures.

7. My favorite sunglasses, and I never leave home without them.

8. I always have jewelry floating around my bag. I like to have jewelry to add on at anytime.

9. I collect matches from restaurants so always have a few in my bag.

10. I keep all the essentials in my Dannijo stingray wallet, and a sweet note my boyfriend wrote me.

Danni and Jo were shot for the  Sebastian Professional & StyleCaster “Infinite Possibilities” cover story. You can see their campaign in the latest issue of Nylon Magazine. Read on for the full scoop.

What is your favorite Sebastian Professional product and why?

What did they use in my hair that made it shiny? I loved that! [Sebastian Professional Shine DefineSRP $16.95]

What are your favorite hair trends at the moment?

Effortlessly wavy long hair à la Gisele and sleek wavy hair to the side like Sebastian Professional styled mine in the shoot. It’s so old Hollywood glam and feminine.

Who are your favorite fashion designers or brands, and why?

I love Vena Cava. Those girls are rad and they design really wearable pieces with a bit of a runway edge. I’m also a huge fan of Opening CeremonyRag + Bone,Proenza SchoulerTOPSHOP and Isabel Marant.  I love Marchesa andCarlos Miele for evening gowns.  I don’t have any pieces yet, but I’m also a huge fan of Rodarte. For shoes, nothing beats Prada and Miu Miu–they’re comfortable and cool.  And nothing finishes off an outfit quite like DANNIJO jewelry.

Tell us about the last good party you went to.

I went to Heidi Klum and Seal’s Halloween party at the Dream with my sister and friend Leandra Medine of ManRepeller.  Our costumes were legit—I was Cleopatra, Jodie was ELVIS (!!) and Leandra was herself (?), and the whole party was an eye candy fest–people had the most intricate and creative costumes I’ve ever seen.  And my favorite DJ, Questlove, kept the beats pumping.

Which celebrity hairstyles are you digging at the moment?

Liv Tyler’s long dark hair–she always looks amazing. Gwyneth Paltrow’s straight 90s cut and Taylor Swift’s hair party.

What was the last concert you went to?

SPIN show with The Rapture, Crystal Castles and A-Trak.

If you could hop on an airplane this very second, where would you go and why?

Costa Rica! I’ve never been and I got a surf board this summer that I’m dying to use somewhere hot.

How would you describe your own personal style, from head to toe?

My style is pretty eclectic, but I’m a tomboy at heart.  I love all things with a Western spirit–I went to school in Nashville and love cowboy boots and fringe vests/jackets. Overall, my aesthetic is a combination of bohemian and rock ‘n’ roll. I love anything that’s effortlessly cool–I’m always wearing soft cut-up vintage rocker tees, jeans, leather jackets and high top sneakers.  Lately I’ve been really into dressing like a woman–deep sangria colored lipstick, lady-like blouses and lace-up heels.  See how much of a mood dresser I am?

Tell us about the worst haircut or hairstyle you ever had.

Probably when I put bleach in parts of my hair in middle school, attempting to create effortless highlights. It didn’t work out too well.

What is your ultimate party jam, meaning the one song you have to dance to when you hear it come on?

Whitney Houston “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”, or Michael Jackson “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”.

What is your favorite Sebastian Professional product and why?

Sebastian Professional Shaper Zero Gravity. I like light hairsprays that hold your hair but are easy to work with and don’t make your hair stiff.

What are your favorite hair trends at the moment?

The beachy wave is still my favorite. I also love big blowouts that have a lot of body and movement.

What kind of music are you currently listening to?

The RaptureJay-ZKayne West, RihannaFlorence + the Machine,Michael Jackson and Fleetwood Mac.

Tell us about the last good party you went to.

Heidi KlumSeal‘s Halloween party. Some of the best costumes I have ever seen.

Which celebrity hairstyles are you digging at the moment?

I always love Jennifer Aniston‘s hair. I also love Julianne Moore‘s reddish brown hair color. Gisele Bündchen and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also have amazing hair.

What are your go-to sources for fashion and beauty inspiration?

Stylecaster, Style.com, The Man Repeller, The Coveteur, Into The Gloss, The Cut, Net-A-Porter and Shopbop.

What was the last concert you went to?

Jay-Z and Kayne West. It was epic! Best concert to date.

How would you describe your own personal style, from head to toe?

I would describe my style as classic bohemian. I love tailored pieces as staples in my closet. I have a huge collection of blazers which is one of my favorite pieces to buy. I also have a huge vintage collection. I am always finding amazing vintage pieces and remaking them to fit my body. I get a lot of my clothes tailored. Fit is very important to me. I am a huge accessories person. I never leave the house withoutDANNIJO. I also love buying shoes and handbags. I love mixing vintage with more modern pieces. I am definitely a mood dresser and like to mix up my style.

A last look at Danielle’s NYC apartment and closet. See the full feature HERE.
My go-to jacket. I got it at a vintage show a few years ago. It’s so Legends of the Fall. I wear turquoise year-round and love a good Saloon hat.

I grew up in Jacksonville, FL by the beach but I never owned a board until this summer. The necklace is one of my all time faves. It’s from our FW1O collection and India-inspired. I mostly wear it with rocker tees when I feel like dressing casual, but still looking polished. This jacket is from my favorite Isabel Marant collection. I bought it in Paris when Jodie and I were visiting for fashion week.

Surprisingly, these are one of my most comfortable winter boots. Jodie got them for both of us a few years ago

I found this shield at my friend Billy’s garage on Houston. I knew I had to have it the second I saw it. I think it’s my favorite piece in my apartment. I like that it’s so hard and masculine.

This is my favorite rocker tee and I wear it way too often. Jodie once told me I couldn’t wear it for a while because she was sick of seeing me in it. I got it at a vintage show and cut it into a tank. I bought this jacket when I lived in Barcelona from the designer himself. He only ever made one for runway and he said it didn’t fit many people, so I told him I was Cinderella and snatched it. It’s so Almost Famous. These are my favorite shoes. I wear them constantly in the winter.

ught this hat when I first moved to New York at my all-time favorite hat shop, J.J. Hat Center. I was dating a dapper Southern gentleman at the time who introduced me to it. I still go by every so often to try on new hats. It’s New York’s oldest and finest hat shop.

This dress is so Wednesday Addams…I’m really into high neck collars, all things pleated, and velvet. I love how the pattern on the dress looks like old wallpaper. I wear this crystal cuff constantly.

When Jodie and I first started, we had to take our collection to buyers’ offices, so we lugged our line around in this vintage suitcase. Now we have a showroom in the meatpacking district, so the suitcase is a little reminder of how far we’ve come.

More behind the scenes at Danielle’s apartment.

Don’t worry, I’m not an alcoholic, but I love a good bar and the environment it creates. I collect old bottles and findings from prior alcoholics that make my bar more colorful and legit. I found this cute little port piece and cigarette box when Jodie and I were street shopping. I also don’t smoke cigarettes, so I guess you could call me a poser, which I’m ok with.

I’m obsessed with these Loeffler Randall heels. It doesn’t get better than laceup midnight blue velvet heels, especially when colorblocking comes into play.

I love these Opening Ceremony heels. Jodie and I both have them so we have to coordinate not to wear them on the same day (she lives in my building directly above me). I give her first dibs on these little guys since she found ‘em. One of my favorite holidays is Halloween and I always buy fun things that are impractical, so they go into my “I could always wear it for a Halloween costume” or “perfect home décor” category. Hence, this cute little hat.

I found this Victorian vintage velvet number at the Manhattan vintage show last year. Jodie and I go every year and buy loads of clothing items we’ll remake by cutting them up to fit our elf selves. I’m not Italian, but I have an Italian restaurant style cluster of incongruent photos above my bar because it looks cool. See my grandma? She’s such a lady. Those are my favorite high top sneakers right now. My home décor theme is cool clutter if you haven’t noticed.

Yellow is one of my favorite colors because it’s so happy. I bought this dress at a vintage shop years ago and got it altered into a mini. I have so many great memories wearing it. Most recently I wore it to the White House this summer for the Buy Young Summit. The painting is by artist Amanda Dolan. I bid on it at a LWALA fundraising gala we threw for my friend’s non-profit, Akilah. And that’s the Sinatra bib from our Mr. Dannijo collection.

This shot is EPIC. Basically all of my favorite things having a dance party on my floor: The Boombox is by New York based photographer Lyle Owerko, who is a friend of mine. We collaborated on our Spring/Summer 2012 NY Fashion Week show and he shot a series of our tastemaker friends in DANNIJO as a celebration of contemporary New York culture. One of my friends that participated in the project is Questlove. Those are his drumsticks from the first time I went to see him perform at the Fallon show. The necklaces on the left are my go-tos from the Mr. Dannijo collection which is all menswear inspired and radical.
