Ashley Ashoff is a California born designer, who designs incredibly elegant and chic hand-painted scarves under her eponymous label Ashley Ashoff.  She lives and works out of her studio in Paris, France, and describes her personal style as “classic, couture, California boho, natural and very feminine.” We thought Ashley would be a great addition to the Gift Guide, so we caught up with her after a recent photoshoot she was in for the upcoming March issue of Russian Vogue.

DJ: What are your beauty secrets? Any favorite products? 

AA: Exercise, laughter, and love. Less is more.  Laino Savon de Marseille, Argan oil, Skin Ceuticals, Bobbi Brown Make-up, Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray, Kiehl’s Baby Lip balm.

DJ: What is your favorite accessory? Is there something you wear everyday?

AA: The DANNIJO Sparo Cuff because the cuff gives my look just the right amount of rock ‘n’ roll for my classic style.  I wear my Human Heart Signature scarf everyday.

DJ: Do you have any holiday traditions? Favorite places to go or celebrate?

AA: Every year since I was a little girl, I go to the Nutcracker in San Francisco with my mom, my sister, and my grandmother. My favorite place to go to celebrate the holidays is Vichy Springs where I grew up.

DJ: What do you plan on giving this year?

AA: IPhoto Books, the DANNIJO Crawford and Lenon necklaces, my scarves, and Sonia Rykiel accessories.

DJ: would YOU want from your mom or friends?

AA: If I could have whatever I wanted from DANNIJO from my mom or my friends, I would want the Liat necklace.

DJ: What holiday gift would you want your boyfriend to buy you at dannijo.com?

AA:  The Maria Cuff in red because it reminds me of a corsage.  It’s romantic and original.  The Maria Cuff along with one of my “Baudelaire” scarves or one of my “Billet-Doux” love letter scarves would melt a girl’s heart.
