Song of the Day
Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Jodie I ate at Indochine last night with the Gilt Group PR Team.  We had such a good time we were literally sitting at our table laughing for 4 hours!  Randomly Isaac Mizrahi (who had talked about us with Danielle Kryrillos) sat one table away, and Nina Garcia was sitting at a nearby booth.  Earlier in the day we sat next to Zac Posen at lunch.  New York is a small small world.

Despite the noisy ambience, I noticed the song playing right as we were seated.  I couldn’t fully hear it but I knew I loved the beat. My Shazam wasn’t working because it was so loud, so I asked our lovely waitress to find out what it was for me.  Luckily, she brought me a piece of scrap paper with the song’s name scribbled: Paper Aeroplane by Angus & Julia Stone.  Give it a listen, and download it free here.  Would be such a good song for one of our Fall 2010 fashion shows.

If you haven’t been to Indochine, here’s the downlow: amazing ambience, good music and beautifully exotic waiting staff (our waitress had the most incredible Carribean turban wrapped around her hair). The food is so-so.  We recommend it for a night out with friends.

That music is really amazing, and I’m not really into that kind of music! I really like it!
