LA LA LAND

I used to think of LA as parking and juicing, but the more I visit the more I discover hidden gems. I went last week for my favorite vintage show, A Current Affair- the best vintage in the nation under one roof. I came back with more victorian lace, vintage Levis, worn tees and sweatshirts than there are days of the week. There's something about the hunt for vintage that's so exhilarating and LA has some of my favorite vintage spots, one of which is Recess
I stayed at Viceroy L'Ermitage Beverly Hills where the beds are like clouds and the bubble baths make you feel like Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman. I dined at my favorite sushi spot Matsuhisa and spent Sunday afternoon at Soho House Malibu feasting on their decadent brunch amidst the spring breeze. I bopped around Melrose; got coffee and a chia pudding at Alfred's, and picked up some baby clothes at BONBON for my soon-to-be nephew. I do like LA for some sunshine and a quick getaway after all...

Continue the party with late-night drinks at Parker & Lenox, a speakeasy that regularly flies musicians in from New York or Buenos Aires to perform at weekends, and for salsa dancing, Club San Luis in Roma Sur is an experience in itself. It has a 20-piece live band, and the dancing is phenomenal.
