MALLORCA TRAVEL DIARY

There are no better friends than the ones that treat you like family, except for the ones that also take you on family vacations.  I recently went on family vacation with my extended family, Rebecca Hessel Cohen of LoveShackFancy and (DJ) Todd Cohen.  We had the most magical trip to Deia, Mallorca. Everyday chef (and friend) Lola Vinagre would make us a big family-style lunch and we'd sip on rosé and bask beneath the Balearic sun. Below are a few of the #dannijotravels approved spots we discovered in case you find your way over...

Where to shop in Mallorca...
We drove to the nearby town of Valldemossa and walked the charming streets -- I bought baskets for Jodie and I, and some white summer dresses for my niece, Margaux. In the quaint town of Soller I found an adorable shop called Mulata Soller, and bought an incredibly ornate, bohemian bag because it went so perfectly with all my silver DANNIJO that I couldn't resist. I also discovered my new favorite espadrilles shop (also in Soller) called Ca's Sarrier

Where to eat and drink in Mallorca...
We took a boat to Sa Foradada for some of the most incredible paella I've ever had, and we spent most evenings at Belmond La Residencia dancing to live music and sipping on rosé until the sun went down.

Continue the party with late-night drinks at Parker & Lenox, a speakeasy that regularly flies musicians in from New York or Buenos Aires to perform at weekends, and for salsa dancing, Club San Luis in Roma Sur is an experience in itself. It has a 20-piece live band, and the dancing is phenomenal.
