IF YOU BUY ONE THING... THE BOWIE TOP

Alexis Carrington called, she wants her top back.

Inspired by the OTT costumes of hit Eighties TV show Dynasty, the Bowie has landed just in time for the holidays.

The wrap-style piece, which is named after the late, great artist David Bowie, is the latest addition to Dannijo’s ready-to-wear offering, following the success of our sellout slip dresses and bralettes.

It has puff sleeves and a removable sash that can be tied in a bow at the front, comes in gold, silver and royal blue lamé, and is every bit as versatile as you’d expect a Dannijo item to be.

"The Bowie was inspired by my favorite vintage top - it was the perfect item to pack when traveling because I could wear it a million ways," says Danielle Snyder, co-founder of Dannijo. "Wear it over a slip, paired with jeans or over a lacy bra and complement the plunging neckline with a pair of crystal earrings.”

At a recent shoot in Paris, Danielle styled the gold version on Taylor LaShae with the velvet foil Zelda mini slip, and the silver on Chloe Lecareux with black hosiery. Jodie wore the silver version with our maxi slip dress in mist for the Dannijo 10th anniversary celebration in October, and the gold with a vintage gold pleated skirt for a night at the ballet.

For that same trip to the ballet, Danni wore the silver version over a pink maxi slip (coming to Dannijo.com soon). She did away with the sash, instead cinching it at the waist with a vintage belt.

And at the Dannijo holiday shopping evening earlier this week, Jodie wore her royal blue Bowie top with ripped jeans, while Danni wore the silver version with opaque tights and a Dannijo arm party.

Continue the party with late-night drinks at Parker & Lenox, a speakeasy that regularly flies musicians in from New York or Buenos Aires to perform at weekends, and for salsa dancing, Club San Luis in Roma Sur is an experience in itself. It has a 20-piece live band, and the dancing is phenomenal.
